Sonnet K8: Let it rain
LET IT RAIN Cloudy day pocket so dry I cry till dawn Is it going to rain fortune falling on me? Been through starvation and thirstiness Reaching persons with mind merciless Bewildered facing illusions of roadblock Taking stock of years passing emptiness Great and mighty of wealthy men I stalk Waiting for rub off as I break hard-knock The rain will fall cause I've paid my due Heavy waters upon me to wake in dew Soften the ground from heavy drought End creaking sound my pocket makes Dancing in the rain from now till ever Sweet memories here to stay forever Sonnet K8 Written by: Ode Clement Igoni Published by: CALM STORM Publishing Date: 24/5/2021
